It seems to me that the previous events that had the most negative impact in Gunnersbury Park, both in terms of noise and local disruption, were the first time or one off events. It could be that these had previously been refused or ejected from other venues. Lovebox was better organised and seemed to pass off without too much problem. Junction 2 at Boston Manor Park has been a learning process for both the organisers and the community but now seems to be at a point where people are at worst willing to tolerate it. Putting a cap on the numbers should allow for better quality enterprises to be selected and hopefully mean that the days are taken up by events which are regulars and familiar with the park and its particular challenges. |
