| I think not. You need to look at causes of crime to prevent them happening, rather than relying on working on a deterrent. Quite a high proportion of murders in London are stabbings perpetrated by groups, often tit for tat killings. I doubt a potential death sentence would stop that happening. Better policing and better opportunities for these gang members might. |
