As often happens, this thread has drifted away from the original point, which was Rupa Huq’s poor taste in making a political point in the context of public statement that good taste would have restricted to an expression of sympathy.   Beyond that I hoped for something better from a person with a degree in Sociology than “a gobbet of Labour Party mantra”.  I wrote to Rupa Ho at length suggesting issues she might have examined.  She has not replied. Now that an election is upon us, she has more important matters to address:  her membership of a political party fronted by terrorist supporters, Corbyn and McDonnell, recently denounced as such in Parliament by ex-Labour MP Austin, and her support for the anti-semitic obscenities that issued from Naz Shah.    Not to condemn is to condone.
