This is one of those projects where we just have to grin and bear it as we know that at the end of it things will be much better in South Ealing in the middle- and long-term. The project is presently making the difficult crossing of the bridge over the Undergorund of the South Ealing Road between Costa Coffee/Mleczko and the entrance to South Ealing Tube Station. It would appear that there is a bit of "wait for" happening at the moment as pipeline components are ordered and manufactured to match what has been uncovered by test excavations so there traffic snarl up around the temporary lights at the junctions of Airedale Road and Sunderland Road with the South Ealing Road with alternating single lane traffic in place. Dorset Road remains closed off at its junction with the South Ealing Road. Overall the quality of work appears high, the staff considerate, and the road restoration after work is completed is an excellent standard. I have noted a couple of incidental issues 'en passant', however, as they have been filled in already I am not going to bring them up until the project is complete as I do not want to interrupt what is such an important project for the medium-term and long-term well-being of South Ealing |
