A most interesting letter came through the letter box this weekend,
From Polly Gourlay, Project Manager for Cadent it outlines the project timeline as follows:
Gas Mains Replacement - South Ealing Road
I am writing to provide a further update on the  works currently underway on South Ealing Road.
We have delayed the Phase 2 works by 7 days so as to allow the commissioning of the Phase 1 works and removal of the mulitway signals near Carlyle Road.
The works are progressing well and we are still on schedule.
Unfortunately we needed to suspend the north and south bus stops b/w Carlyle Road and Darwin Road however we are hoping to put two temporary stops in place  next week and reinstate the bus stops by Monday 5th August.
We hosted the community consultation evening on Monday 22nd July and had good turnout of local councillors and residents. If you missed the event please get in touch and we will be happy to answer any questions.
South Ealing Road Phasing
Phase 1 - starting at Greenlawn Lane and finishing at South Road, this will be under multiway signals with side road closures at Occupation Lane, South & North Road. There will also be parking suspension throughout this section.
Phase 2 - Junction of Popes Lane. This will be completed over the summer 2019 holidays and 4 way lights will be in place,
Phase 3 - Temple Road - South Ealing Station. This will involve parking and bus stop suspensions, side road closures and potential multiway signals.
Phase 4 - South Ealing Station (north side of bridge) - Church Lane, side road closures, further traffic management to be agreed with local authority - please read further updates to come.
Our gas mains replacement programme is essential to replace the Victorian gas pipes, so we can continue to provide safe and reliable energy to homes and businesses and will reduce the amount of unplanned workto repair aging gas pipes. Please be assured we remain committed to doing this work with the minimum of inconvenience.
