Definitely Paul, I find the comments from the anti Human Rights court brigade who try to act as modern day Churchills very funny as the European Court of Human Rights was his idea!! Many politicians of the past served in the war and whether Labour or Conservative understood what service to this Country meant. I look at the Tories now and think they have become a party of Carpetbaggers and it looks like Labour have lost their way after the deceit of the Bliar years. We as a nation have lost our way and the very things that the generation that fought in WW2 have been lost as ego, vanity and greed have taken over. Sad to see but the Troublemakers backed by the Russians and Money Launderers have permeated too many levels. When we see UKIP merging with the far right group EDL we can see the situation has become quite depressing. When you see Question Time becoming a forum where some articulate but destructive forces are trying to whip up division it is also sad. At least in 1940 the Poles were allowed to make a contribution in the end.
We well done to all who served under the umbrella of the British Forces in WW2 whether Irish, Indian, Polish, Czech, Pakistani, African, Indian, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Norwegian, Belgian, French and so many more. We had a common interest then!! Churchill recognised the danger of the Nazi's and would be horrified by Trump and the blackshirts of the new UKIP. |
