"Please be assured that there will be no mass sell off of Council properties under a Labour Council to developers or anyone else!" Correct, far from making sensible economic returns that can be re-invested, it's sensible for Labour to maintain a mandate that specifically precludes this. The same muddled thinking and inability to effect pragmatic change got us into a position where under Labour, more than 200,000 council properties are illegally sub let at a time when there's a shortage of social housing. Rather than trackle the problem, Labour would rather have us swallow up more green belt to build more housing instead of ensuring that bexisting housing stock is being used for its intended purpose. |
