| Re Something call 'a road'. And all users of 'a road' knowing how to use it. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx With the increase in traffic many parts of many roads are no longer safe for cyclists, and sides of roads badly pot-holed and otherwise damaged, dangerous to cycles. Hence intelligent planners have and are making cycle lanes on pavements, clearly marked. And your contention that road users know how to use them is wide of the mark, apart from the added substantial danger these days when many drivers in London do not have insurance, even if they have a licence, which is also highly unlikely. |
