Extending your logic why should residents be able to stand or walk for free on Council owned pavements? What's wrong per se about commuter parking? The Council needs to build car parks for commuters. Many towns have Park and Ride schemes - but Ealing isn't one of them. Ealing Council still does not have a published CPZ policy which might describe (if it existed) the underlying motivations and isues involved in setting up Ealing Council type CPZs. An Ealing Council CPZ may completely envelop Northfield Avenue soon and because of the Council's unimaginative and Draconian attitude to out of area worker parking we may lose some of our more well established shops. |
