| He just sees what he wants to see, most of it imaginary. When the LTNs were in place te queues on South Ealing Road and Windmill Road were pretty much constant all day, every day. When the Junction Road LTN was removed those queues disappeared immediately. That’s your traffic evaporation. What many councils and TfL are doing is engineering traffic jams to make things look worse than they are. Rephasing traffic lights. Unexplained and interminable roadworks. Silly speed limits on main roads where pedestrian activity is minimal. Thing is they aren’t admitting this because they think everyone will take I cycling instead. Dream on! |
