| It's a shame that a well used public golf course is threatened with closure and it was a shame that the Bowling Club in Gunnersbury was closed. The Councils need to raise more money to pay for running the necessary public services you don't love or need now and the ones that you do. There is also the new sports centre in Gunnersbury Park and I wonder how many people using that drive there and how many are just walking their dogs. A neo-liberal Govt wants to reduce the burden on the state of public expenditure. How would this be possible if they are also promising lower tax for everyone and special concessions to what may appear to be favoured companies and grandees? |
