| So.. if I can insert a touch of sanity back into this strange discussion. I'm not actually sure the change to the junction of Gordon Road and Spring Bridge Road was primarily either the protection of vulnerable cast iron post boxes or the easing of passage for equally vulnerable cyclists. What I do know, with that stretch of Gordon Road being a bus route with parking on both sides was that it often difficult to navigate whatever mode of transport one was using. I have found the road much better now that there is not the addition of traffic moving east from Haven Green. And I say this as someone living on Gordon Road who now has to travel via Castlebar Road if I am coming via car from the town centre. |
