I remember it very well. I was in Charing Cross Hospital awaiting orthopaedic implant surgery and the trauma teams were all on standby to receive casualties who were, in the end, largely taken to St. Mary's. I could see a 'glow' in the distance largley hidden behind other buildings. God Rest Their Souls. |
