The dilemma that Mr Gallant and every Tory candidate in the next election will have is that it now looks almost inevitable that the party's manifesto will advocate no deal. In that scenario it would be very surprising if Labour and the Lib Dems didn't enter into, at the very least, informal local electoral pacts. It would be daft for them to let what would essentially be a Brexit party candidate in a seat that was 70%+ remain. |
