I think the first question to ask is not about roadworks, but about whether lengths of copper wire were stolen. This is a problem which is getting more common and the trouble is partly caused by the road and pavement access points not being adequately protected. So if you see some apparent works going on you may wish to note down vehicle numbers and/or speak to people working on telephone installations. |
