I am calling them "parking officers" you may call them parking wardens or civil enforcement officers however they don't seem too interested in enforcing loading restrictions on say the Uxbridge Road. They are hell bent to find richer pickings in the side roads and walk right past obstructing vehicles. Yes I understand that it is hard to ticket a manned vehicle but that should be their job.
Obstructing the highway and causing queues and not following the rules is "anti social behaviour" in my book but the police of whichever type seem not to see this as their brief. A policeman was "walking by" such an obstruction near the infamous Lido Junction where two parking officers had ignored and passed by seconds before. When I asked him if he could do something his reply was that I should "phone a councillor". I raised this at the last Transport Scrutiny Meeting.
So it is nice to see all these yellow curb marks but unless someone does something it seems to me it is just so much "hot air" sorry "yellow paint".
