I finally got round to reading the 18 page results of the 2024 consultation: 'Page 9 For proposed changes: cycle track 31.5%. Further north 29% For keeping existing arrangements: 44%. Further north 43%' so... the public said no. However the conclusion on page 18 was to proceed with the changes..... To put the project into perspective - a shorter cycle track linking from the A4 along Boston Manor Road to Boston Manor Station cost Hounslow Council £600,000 a couple of years ago. So the Boston Road project (a longer stretch of road) will cost at least £500,000. The public said no and Ealing Council said yes in February 2025. Now 4 months later, there is no sign of any cycle lane construction going ahead on Boston Road. Anyone know why? |
