Simon, you are obstinate aren't you. I am not a paid up member of any cycling organisation. If you don't want to take the challenge of riding a bike with me on the Uxbridge Road, then do everyone on here a favour. I want you to get real answers to your claim that it is not normal for 'normal people' to do their shopping or commute by bike. Bring a mate of yours, as a reliable witness, to Haven Green. Here, as people (many will hold driving licenses) lock up their bikes, you can ask them why they cycle? You can tell them that they are zealots? I am not going to miss out on hearing peoples' reactions at your stupidity. Before you throw any more of your insults on a keyboard, you coward, you can tell the families of all the cyclists who were killed on the Uxbridge Road that cycling is a leisurely activity. They will all agree with you. All were wearing everyday clothes. Is it reasonable for someone to be killed when all they are doing is a leisurely activity? You claim 99% of people in London don't cycle. What garbage is that? The number of journeys made by bike in London is higher than anywhere else in the country, but that's still a mere 4%. How can 1% of people make up 4% of all journeys?
