You need some re-education Paul. It’s not about car movements, it’s actually vehicle movements. A lot of traffic is made up of delivery vehicles, and in Ealing there are also a lot of hgv movements because of the redevelopments going on everywhere. You were asked to provide accident stats for the LTN areas. Where are your answers? You remind me of the guy in the Asterix books who was afraid that the sky was going to fall on his head. Like most LCC activists you paint a far more negative picture than reality proves. And you lump everything in together because it suits your narrative. Bad driving isn’t related to congestion. That’s down to individuals. The same with cyclists, of course. Most pollution comes from heavy vehicles, including buses that TfL has been very slow to upgrade. And what’s an acceptable number of ‘car movements’ for you? I suspect none would be the answer, unless it was for the benefit of you, your family and friends! |
