Thames water and other supply companies have been warning for years on the limitations of supply and the likelihood of over densification and hi rise blocks will over stretch the ability to supply water and process waste. All this gets dismissed by planners and planning procedure in the same way that the Fire service and emergency services are largely ignored when they raise concerns - Grenfell being a classic example. But in Brentford water pressure ins much lower in parts of it due to the increase in demand and lack of additional resources.
