To me there is a real feeling of a Third or Fourth Party screwing things up for the leave side. It was all Parliament who openly agreed that we leave with or without a deal on 29th March. Then Corbyn's (he hates the EU) Labour Party and others put a spanner in the works and take "No Deal/WTO terms" off the table after bragging about how they all supported signing Article 50. The Cooper/Letwin bill had a one dubious vote majority so was signed the same night just before midnight with permission of the Monarchy so was already in Law the next day. But once the extent of the Brexit Backlash came through after the local elections Prince Charles panics and rushes off to see Merkel in Germany. There are now people of both Remain and Leave who seriously wonder if it is the Monarchy who want to remain. Whatever, Farage is only this popular because we have people prepared to see Parliament revolt against what it promised the people, and that is brewing up a lot or angry resentment and will result in trouble eventually, as the leave side will always feel cheated of what they saw as a freedom they were promised, and they do have a point. |
