I share your pain on this. The d'Hondt system looks very complex and there has to be a real concern that it will deliver a result in London which is very unrepresentative. The momentum is with the Brexit party and UKIP seem to be imploding - they had a spokesman on Radio 4 this morning who was a complete disaster ranting on about Muslims. Farage is cunning enough to know that he should not share his true thoughts with us on this subject and the best case is that he is prevented from winning more than one of the available seats. How you get round the problem of there being essentially three pure Remain choices and one sullied one is something I haven't worked out. My fixed intention at the moment is not to vote Labour unless they make a firm and unambiguous commitment to a confirmatory vote. Then I am thinking of two options. Firstly cast all my votes for Change UK candidates or secondly to mix and match between Change UK/Lib Dems and Greens. |
