Thanks for this Samuel. Will the CQC be inspecting that key institution of our local healthcare system the Ealing Clinical Commissioning Group? This group of local doctors spend millions of our money funding local healthcare. The responsibility doesn't end there. That would be naive and unprofessional. There have to be regular inspections to ensure the public get safe care and value for money . The recent exposure of poor conditions at the Urgent Care Centre run by Care UK but sited at Ealing hospital in an ITV documentary suggest a failure of the ECCG. A meeting this week indicated there were these checks in place...once a month in a remote location between ECCG and Care UK management. Not good enough. Add to that that the Mansfield Inquiry picked up evidence that was in the public domain showing things were not well months before the ITV programme and you have a worrying situation. If that is not bad then spinning the evidence of the ITV programme to call it allegations adds insult to injury. So Samuel will the CQC come to see my recording of the ITV documentary and castigate the real offender or will it be closing ranks and find someone else to blame? |
