To bring those who might be interested up to date....NHHT's demolition order has now been approved by Ealing Council. As the building is not Nationally Listed or situated in a Conservation Area the Council in the end had no choice but to succumb to NHHT's destructve urges. However NHHT's post-demolition development plans have been turned down by Ealing Council. So it's back to the drawing board for NHHT. So far to my knowledge NHHT has submitted three development plans to Ealing Council and they have all been turned down. Each plan contained somewhat less dense residential plans that its predecessor. The latest turned down NHHT plan was for 31 homes. Ealing Council's draft 2026 Local Development Plan specifies a density of 22 homes on the site. I wonder how mant more rejected NHHT development plans are submitted before we get to the 22 homes' density. |
