Topic: Fullers should call time

Myself and a few associates went to the red Lion this week for an annual pre christmas get together.

I wish I had read this thread before. Rude staff, an awful manager/landlord, poor food, poor portions and hugely expensive.
I was embarrassed taking blue chip clients there, one of whom is in the victuallers trade. He was not impressed but not surprised as he said this is the sort of route Fullers have chosen to take. He feels it is the start of the end of Fullers and it is part of a drive to push up profits to sell out for big money.

We all remembered this pub from our youth and in hindsight would have been better to have stayed away t remember it that way- one of the best proper pubs in the land.
And still could be given the right ingredients.
