| We should have more festivals of this kind not fewer. The aim should be to build on the success of the Summer Festival and raise Ealing's profile as a centre of cultural and artistic activities, not just a place with some good parks and a (not so good) shopping centre. The film festival idea is especially worth considering as it would build on the association with Ealing studios. Sadly this will not happen with a local council that sees the cost of everything and the value of nothing. |
