Re  There is a small but rather ugly tower block above Waitrose in west Ealing ...yes brand spanking new but I heard that someone was moving out because the lifts kept breaking down.

         that Arthur is a private development in my opinion of the most hideous appearance, the cost of each flat  being well in excess of £300k. What the cladding on the exterior walls is made of I don't know but looks like metal, but the whole thing is a monstrosity and I am not only surprised Waitrose allowed such to be built but also to have their name emblazoned across it. Tastes are going downhill, imagine what that will look like in 25 years from now, has the appearance of an industrial building. I read somewhere on this Forum it interferes with TV signals presumably due to it's contruction materials.  Wonder what Charles would think about it!!. Imagine what an area would look like if all the flats were like " Luminosity Court ", which I think it is called.
