I think with the pink sacks we were told not to leave them outside when they were not in use but to keep them under cover. I have found that rolling them up and putting them inside an turned-on-its-side green box has worked. I also don't always use it every week but every other week. Squashing bottles helps to reduce the amount. Avoiding plastic when possible reduces it even further. The less packaging you buy the less you have to deal with : ) Councils say supermarkets are still producing too much packaging: http://www.lga.gov.uk/lga/core/page.do?pageId=2372881 I don't know what they will think of you trying to recycle the white sack - it is weighted with something which probably isn't plastic isn't it? |
