I completely agree with Viv. The reason I love car boot sales is a mix of all those. When I've been a seller, I've managed to make a good profit selling things that I would otherwise have have thrown out. As the saying goes "one man's junk is another man's treasure" and I really believe this with boot sales. As a buyer, I love vintage clothes and furniture and I've found some real treasures at boot sales, which if I'd bought in some upmarket shop in Islington or some antique stall in Portobello market, I would have paid a lot more!. It's not everyone's cup of tea but I think they're great and in this economic climate, they're a great way of finding some really nice things at bargain prices. |
