| I rode back from Ealing this way today on my bike. It's noteable that as you travel south down Culmington Road drivers have to travel straddling the white lines down the middle of the road. Two drivers can't pass each other without one waiting for the other in a gap, if there is one, I'm sure there are plenty of beepy sweary standoffs on that street; it's crying out to be part of an LTN... When arriving at the the Churcfields Road junction to turn left to carry on along Culmington I met an oncoming driver on my side of the road who was turning right. the driver had to quickly correct their course as they realised I was there. This was nothing to do with the junction design though, it was just lazy driving, I see it a LOT, drivers and riders turning right across the oncoming lane just don't bother and lazily drive over the give way markings in the road their turning into. I'm sure that one causes a fair few prangs. |
