General principle is that if you don't responsibly pay for the e-bike, i.e. you nick it, you will not give a flying flamingo on the condition that you leave it in for the next person, or how you park it. That principle also converts to correct roadcraft. If you don't give a toss about paying for the hire of a bike, what is the likelihood that you are going to give two hoots about stopping at a red light? Do not tar everyone with the same brush. Finally, if there was one thing that I would be allowed to change it would be the charging structure. I am of the view that it would be safer to have a pay-as-you-go tariff that is based on distance covered instead of duration time - priced by a mile, not priced by the minute. At a stroke you would wipe out a lot the types that go faster than they can properly manage, in order to return the bike in time. |
