| A bonfire of the regulations was not a Labour initiative and nor was the unwillingness to update the Building Regulations although that had been called for for years. Scotland updated theirs and they were considered much clearer by the time of the Grenfell fire. The fallout from that continues with so many buildings still needing to be altered to make them safe. |
