| School Streets in most other countries don't rely on signs with convoluted times on them and who knows what enforcement, but use temporary barriers operated by volunteer staff or parents. These physically close each end of the road for the required time, which is often for more like 15 minutes than a whole hour. Simple really, and less susceptible to confusion and misunderstanding! |
