| At the recent WEN meeting held in the Drayton Court, when an update on this site was requested, the response from the councillor concerned was that there was no specific news, but there is a possibility that the current unfinished building may need to be demolished and a new planning application submitted. Also, anyone who regularly passes the site will notice that CCTV is monitoring the site. It is also worth noting that in the construction world, a company rarely takes over a previous builder's work as there can be issues over building liability. If and when work restarts on the site, I hope that whoever is responsible for the project within the council does sufficient due diligence to ensure that the construction company has the ability to complete the project. I suspect local residents will live with a half-completed project for many years. |
