I occasionally stop by Oxford Street on the way home, or if I'm in the area already (Soho, Piccadilly Circus). I would agree it's not my favourite shopping street, but there are a number of shops there I like and are useful (John Lewis, various clothes shops). I've actually popped up there for something specific on Christmas Eve morning once because it's quicker than going to Westfield. Not many tourists drive when they visit another city, so not sure they'd miss the traffic going down the middle. It's so well connected. |
