I attended a gathering in Kingsdown Methodist Church tonight. It was difficult if not impossible to discover what the proposals were for altering roads to the west of Northfield Ave. Of course I wasn't invited although I have driven, walked and cycled through those roads for over 40 years. The law quite clearly says that "all affected should be consulted". Strangely the law also says that consultation should "begin at the formative stage". For those of us who make decisions on collected data, none seemed to be available here. Why didn't the senior Councillor present understand this? This shambles of a presentatation would have failed an Ofstead Inspection. What poor value we get from our Council Tax! Special measures and rebates come to mind. |
