According to the Charity Commission web site Julian Bell, Leader of the Council, and one other Councillor are Trustees of Pitzhanger Manor  and so are responsible for this decision. http://apps.charitycommission.gov.uk/Showcharity/RegisterOfCharities/ContactAndTrustees.aspx?RegisteredCharityNumber=1152434&SubsidiaryNumber=0&TID=11429118

What Alan has been doing at the Cafe is carrying out in practice what the Council and Government fail to do with all their high falluting talk and our money. As well as providing a great service for visitors to the park even in the worst weather, he gives his staff brilliant training as well as giving them the confidence and trust to work on their own initiative. I for one know 2 of Alan's former staff who have gone on to start their own businesses. The Trustees have a serious  case of knowing the cost of everything and the value of nothing!
