This is from the Pitzhanger website ;

"As we prepare for our grand reopening in 2018, Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery Trust are looking for a unique, dynamic and ambitious caterer to run the cafe-brasserie which sits adjacent to the Manor and Gallery, the kiosk at the Rickyard in Walpole Park, and, if desired, event catering within the Manor and Gallery.

If you are interested in taking part in the the tender process, please email Isobel at pitzhanger@pitzhanger.org.uk

The deadline for this stage of the application process is Sunday 5th November 2017."

Running a "more high end" cafe/brasserie is not the same type of operation as the small cafe/kiosk that exists now. I can't see why the two tenders were put together? Two different operators could successfully run both.
They could/should have extended Alan's lease and offered tenders for the separate Brasserie/Cafe.
I dont believe gaining a good operator for the Brasserie is/was dependent on adding in the kiosk lease.

Further more is seems very unreasonable to give Alan only  a small amount of notice. Yes the lease is ending, HOWEVER if they are to give the lease to someone else ,then a 3 to 6 month notice period is not unreasonable given the amount of time he has operated, and the lateness of this decision. (The new operator will be busy setting up the Basserie anyway!)
