I've been trying to get parking enforcement to do something effective about HGVs obstructing pavements in Elveden Rd, Park Royal which is just within L B of Ealing. The company to which deliveries are being made by these vehicles were treating it as their own private road and disregarding pedestrian safety. I was almost killed by one driver who didn't even see me as he pulled onto the pavement. Emails to councillors proved a waste of time. What really had an effect was the news that the council had spent over £27,000 of our money across three years repairing pavements in one street. The company in question haven't contributed anything and are now paying attention, as are drivers whose companies don't want to pay for the repairs. |
