I went to fogo only once, around Christmas, and was not that impressed. it was midweek around seven pm and almost completely empty. It claimed to be all you could eat but they controlled how much you were eating by serving off the sword. I've seen people saying they thought this system to be unhygienic however its not really the case. As long as they were sticking to health and hygiene laws there would be no problem. From what the owner stated about the people of Ealing not supporting the restaurant i can only agree. However to get the full fogo experience you were spending £20 per head and not getting the service or quality. Its location also did not help matters. Onto cote, i have been to the one in Richmond and was very impressed. Its a few steps up from carluccio's and a million times better than Cafe Rouge who must be kacking them-selves at this new venture! Ealing has a lot of restaurants most of them chains (pizza express, carluccio's, hair and tortuous, cafe rouge and now cote) All these offering lunchtime and early evening deals that are too good to miss! These are killing our local restaurants who cannot afford to keep up. |
