| Let's just hope that it is still going ahead. When in opposition, the Labour group was set against it and the present leader of the council referred the cabinet decision to the scrutiny committee, despite the overwhelming positive response received by the extensive residents consultation that had been undertaken. The planning application for the skate park needs first to go to the planning committee although, even if approved, there is no garantee that it will be nuild. It will be interesting to see what happens, now that they are in power, and whether they will honor their manifesto promise to provide more facilities for the young people of the borough. As far as the Hanwell carnival is concerned, yes it was a great success and WELL DONE to the organisers and to all those people that have worked so hard in the last year to make it happen!
