When John Terry gets £140,000 a week and can't even afford a decent haircut, you really do wonder. The division between rich and poor is so wide. also globalisation means that youngsters who would work for basic wages on a building site to learn a trade are being discriminated against to allow cheap Labour in for work on the Olympics site. The cheap labour means that the companies make a bigger margin and that there will be no Olympic legacy. We are squeezed and the so called middle classes are currently undergoing this process. So more of the Income in the country is going out of the country. This is not about Race as many of the young Londoners who would have benefited from the Olympics will be from so called minorities. This is about sheer naked greed dressed up as globalisation. The govt has sold its soul to the corporations and as such Labour will not protect the people. I can not see the Tories being any different. We need to invest in our future or we will not have one.
These bonuses will no doubt produce very little tax benefit either.
