Word reaches me on the Construction grapevine today that apparently Henry are being petetioned for a cool £31Mill..... or rather the ex Directors / owners will be. Since they went bust in 2023 they've left 5,000 creditors with the supply chain owed £43Mill. Where it gets interesting is the Administrators have apparently uncovered some "interesting" stuff such as one of the Directors Mother's alledgedly being paid a £10Mill dividend, £5.5Mill alledgedly used to pay relatives tax bills (in form of loans never called in alledgedly) plus alledgedly properties bought for duibious reasons and alledgedly freebie building work done for odd addresses. Now I'm not accusing anyone, and the above is all under the apparently bracket, but I do wonder if there's any employees of everyone's favourite Council with sweaty palms today and not just due to the lovely weather? It's been noted in these here pages that Henry were the Contractor of choice signed off by people in power and the Leeland Road debacle stands as testement to that. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......
