I guess you could say there are places where the gullies might work, but on all the roads I've ever lived on in Ealing, cars rarely end up parked in the same place, least of all outside the door, sometimes on the other side of the road, and sometimes, even on the next street. Longer CPZ hours/more CPZs will help, but in the end, when electric vehicles are the norm I can't see how this would work, not if private car owership remains at its current levels, and in Ealing it's going the wrong way and has slipped back over 50% of households that have at least one car. |
