| As ever lots of non-specific complaints about the council and councillors with little attempt to give context or some actual facts. It has been claimed that there were ample funds to maintain and repair the Town Hall buildings but, even if that were true, it would have been ridiculous to use up precious resources on something which was going to be sold regardless. Whether or not you agree with the sale that would simply have made no sense. Now, with local government finances even more under pressure , I imagine it would be even harder to make good the buildings. Before anybody dismisses this suggestions it would be good to hear some actual figures on what it might cost. |
