Arthritis affect a vast number of over 60s. When it hits your fingers then you find just how losing dexterity affectively locks you out of most modern things. Makes it almost impossible to type without pain and very hard to use a smartfone. The way so many companies that deal with the public or customers and who seem to think that everyone has a smartphone and knows how to use it. Led at worst by Local Authorites and the dreadful NHS digitisation which is locking out many who most need it. But Local Authorities know this is the very tool it can use against those who are the staunchest guardians of community and local environs - The senior citizens. They would dearly love to get rid of them but cannot, so why not use every means to lock them out of mainstream society. And this is not just Ealing but extraordinarily Labour run boroughs who are the snidest at this. Along with the GLA. That, of all things, baffles me. |
