The latest 'triumph of transparency' is Ealing Councils new consultation for it's Cityfication Plan. Shaping Ealing is an online only consultation for "ALL those who live and work in the Borough of Ealing" Except those who are not online. Or those who choose not to agree to all the terms of a company called Built-ID. Another produce what the client wants consultancy. This company does not offer opt outs of Cookies and data use. It's their terms or not at all. Read their terms and it exposes what a sham this really is. However this is a clear breach of discriminatory exclusion for the thousands of residents who are not avid online addicts, and are already excluded from much of this boroughs antics. But also in breach of the opt out requirements for public service use of data. I wonder if the council leader can explain why so many are excluded on two fronts when he claims openness and transparency? |
