So have you made any constructive suggestions? I had another look at the last one. I particularly liked the back cover - which was one of the ugly and informative pieces! http://ealingnewsextra.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Around-Ealing-Feb-19_v9.pdf I can understand that if you did not vote for the political party that believes in reducing the size of state involvement you might not like to be reminded that it is now considered by members of that party as well as the opposition that the cuts have been going on for too long. Outsourcing has not always been successful and tbh in some cases completely disastrous eg with Carillion where there are buildings half-finished eg a hospital and sub-contractors who felt safe because it was government work have gone under as a result. We then end up picking up the bill and something that was supposed to have saved money hasn't and has cost more. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2019/jan/15/surge-in-outsourcing-after-carillion-collapse-staggering-unions-say If you can get through the FT's wall you will find similar articles. |
