| What I don't get.... Lets just say I drove onto Ealing Common or say an empty garage at the end of my road and started dumping all sorts of stuff from the boot of my car. I'd imagine I'd get some sort of charge, maybe even a court appearance. Then I'd tell 'em I'm skint and can't pay. But then I'd expect, maybe, my car to be impounded or, maybe whilst I was occupying said land spaces, have my car clamped, towed, seized or something, you know, to sort of stop me continuing to do what I was doing. If the authorities wanted to get really smart they'd watch me whilst an eviction notice was pending and wait until I was heading back to said land spaces and pull me over and request my Waste Transfer licence. Course, I don't have one of those so, boom, all above sanctions in play. It's great to say stop the source, ie people paying for cheap rubbish clearance, but there's many a builder both local and not from these shores who'll save the 414.00 or so per skip to make a buck or three. I dunno..... I haven't got the answers but even if I did it's clear the powers that be don't have the will and let's face it..... there are Human Rights to consider here. 29th March you say? Bring it and lose it. |
