I miss Maggie's too, they always had two for one offers as well as great burgers if you went on the right day of the week! They said they were closing because the freeholders wanted to redevelop the site, so I was a bit annoyed when it just became another restaurant after Maggie's didn't seem to have been there five minutes! I guess the new people made the owners of the building an offer they couldn't refuse, and they were able to somehow terminate Maggie's lease. Such a shame about K&M as well, the last fish and chip place within walking distance of where I live. It was great fish and chips too. Of course I've never stopped mourning the loss of Maxwells........
